There could be many reasons for people to stop syncing their Google data to an Android phone. Remember that it has been set as your primary account? Now, you simply need to remove it from being the primary account. This way, the google account will no longer be linked with or synced with your Android phone. Here is how to do it. To enable it, open Settings on your iOS device and go to Mail, Contacts, Calendars. Select Add Account -> Other -> Add CardDAV Account. Whether or not this feature is available to you will depend on which phone you have.
